VGR completes renovation of SV Terheijden pitch

Recently we have been working on the renovation of the football pitch of SV Terheijden, commissioned by the municipality of Drimmelen. This wonderful project consists of several steps to prepare the pitch for a new football season.

One of the most important aspects of the renovation was the reconstruction of the top layer.

Sustainable turf
​VGR GreenGood fine compost was used. This addition of stable organic matter ensures a healthy and fertile soil, which is essential for a strong and sustainable turf surface.

Optimising playability
​As well as improving the soil structure, we also installed a new drainage system. This prevents waterlogging and optimises the playability of the pitch. A modern irrigation system has also been installed to ensure that the grass is always well watered, even during dry periods.

Safe environment
​The work extended beyond the pitch itself. The surfacing around the pitch was replaced, creating a tidy and safe environment for players and spectators. A railing has also been installed. Now that the work is almost complete, nature can take its course. In a few weeks time there will be a beautiful new grass surface!
