Ease of use is at the forefront of our ongoing development of the TopChanger. Our customer base has expanded considerably in recent years, in an increasingly diverse range of countries such as Belgium, South Korea and Australia. To meet the needs of our customers, we strive to make operation as simple as possible.
Paul Verhoef of VGR Equipment hints at the innovations planned for 2024 for the operation of the TopChanger.
Touch screen
Paul: "The TopChanger is already operated from the tractor cab with a colour touch-screen display. We try to make it as easy as possible for the user: you are guided through the operation step by step, and you cannot skip any steps.
User manual
"From the 2024 models onwards, the touchscreen will come standard with the option of viewing the user manual on-screen," continues Paul. "We divide it into topics: how to change a water filter, for example, or what to do in the event of a particular fault. Text and pictures are not enough.
Instructional videos
Paul: "From now on, VGR Equipment also makes instructional videos that will be part of the manual: we will show how our employees perform certain actions. This is a solution with great added value, especially in view of the increasing number of international users. Any language barrier is overcome in one fell swoop!
Updates
"We supply the manuals and videos as standard with the new models. However, existing customers can of course download an update for their touchscreen so that they can benefit fully from the ease of use. If they contact us, we will provide the updates".
Web portal
Paul: "In addition to the touchscreen innovations, we are also developing a web portal. This will allow customers to request quotations and order parts online. This process will be automated, saving time for both our customers and our own process.
Efficiency
"We are taking the challenge to make it as easy as possible for our customers with both hands," concludes Paul. "The digital manual increases the ease of use, the instructional videos help us to overcome any language barriers with our international customer base and the future web portal is an efficiency gain!
